TRAFFIC WARNING

The contractor is due to commence works on Wednesday 8th August 2018 on the 250 metre section of the R510 between Quinn’s Cross and the site entrance. This involves road widening, footpath replacement and the creation of the new junction. The contract has an overall programme of six months and there is two month’s work on the R510.

The contract for the first phase of the Mungret Local Infrastructure Housing Activation Fund (LIHAF) contract has been awarded to Brian Conneely & Co, Kellysgrove, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway.

The road was granted planning permission under planning permission 16/1196 for the construction of 201 houses at Baunacloka, Mungret. Funding for the scheme is being provided 75% by the Department of Housing, Planning and Local Government and 25% by the Council.

The land to construct the road has been transferred into Council ownership. The contractor is due to commence works on Wednesday 8th August 2018 on the 250 metre section of the R510 between Quinn’s Cross and the site entrance.
